Flowering Shrubs Nursery offers quality, affordable childcare in a safe, caring and friendly environment for children in North Cardiff and South Wales. We are registered for the 30 hour childcare offer in our Cyncoed setting.
Flowering Shrubs have embedded the Early Childhood Play Learning and Care guidance for 2 year olds where children learn through interactions and meaningful activities. The Curriculum for Wales is followed alongside this supporting the development of the six area of learning and experience.
Expressive Arts
Health and Well-being
Humanities
Languages, Literacy and Communication
Mathematics and Numeracy
Science and Technology
These areas support a broad curriculum covering cognitive, social and emotional growth. This supports children to achieve the Four Purposes and become
Ambitious, capable learners
Enterprising, creative contributors
Ethical, informed citizens
Healthy, confident individuals
The Curriculum for Wales emphasises learning through play, rich experiences and meaningful engagement, rather than formal lessons. Cwlwm.org.uk
