Flowering Shrubs @ Cyncoed
Our Nursery sessions run from 9.00am to 1.00pm every day for 2 to 5 year olds and we are registered for a maximum of 21 children. There is an afternoon session at Cyncoed from 1.00 – 5.30pm.
There are many ways in which children learn and we shape our activities around their learning. Our activities promote creative play with a range of painting, cutting and modelling; physical play using balls, mats, hoops, bikes and slides. Social play in the home corner reflects the topics we are learning about for example the café when we are learning about food. Communicative play through role playing using the appropriate language and tools. We have a wide range of floor play consisting of the car garage, vehicles, farm animals, blocks and building. This encourages social development.
Children have access to a wide range of activities inside and outside combining free and more structured play.
We can also offer a Lunch Club for children registered with our Nursery. This runs from 11.30am – 1.00pm. Children will be supervised while they eat their packed lunch. Water or milk can be provided.
In addition, we offer a minibus or walking bus to those children attending the afternoon nursery session at Rhydypenau and Glyncoed Primary School.
We collect from Rhydypenau and Glyncoed for after school club at our Cyncoed setting.
